BIO

I grew up in Minnesota between prairies and river valleys. I have enjoyed a wide variety of art forms, from sketching and watercolor to pottery and music. I began working with clay 10 years ago. Upon moving to St. Peter, I continued work in ceramics and met other artists to collaborate with who’ve inspired and challenged me in my work with clay.

ARTIST STATEMENT

My work in ceramics has taken on many forms and incorporates thrown, slab, and coil work. I particularly enjoy painting, carving, and distorting forms. My work consists primarily of functional pieces, though I enjoy working on sculptures and other decorative projects as well.
