BIO

Thomas' art features natural textures and vibrant colors. The best examples are uses of pressed leaves and foliage to create texture and visual contrast. Thomas' work often emphasizes the functionality, or comical dysfunctionality, of traditional forms.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Thomas Prahl is from the Minnesota River Valley where he grew up and attained his bachelors degrees. After spending time at Gustavus as a Student, Thomas proceeded to teach music in various public schools in the area. Currently, he is pursuing new artistic endeavors throughout the state.
