BIO

My name is Diane Wild. I am a self-taught artist. I studied through practical experience and self studying with books by masters of their crafts. I work primarily on a two-shaft loom commonly known as a rigid heddle loom and a small tapestry loom. Creating from my home in Saint Peter, I am inspired by the scenic river valley and the college arboretum.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Instead of painting on canvas, I create images on tapestry, art quilts and wearables. The colors and textures of various fibers and the fascinating way they interact is most satisfying. The process nurtures my soul and feeds my senses.
