BIO

Cheryl Casteen is a multimedia conceptual artist. She has developed performances and public art projects in the US as well as internationally in NZ, Russia, and Germany. Casteen worked as an art educator from 1987-2011 as well as creating and exhibiting her own work. She also worked as a gallery director in Pittsburgh, PA, and Saint Peter, MN.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I am a witness--of people, animals, landscapes, moments in time. I practice Darshan: "Seeing the God" in everything before me. I mostly use my iPhone to see, record, and then alter what I see because it is immediate, always with me, and I can edit in camera, anywhere, anytime. I see you, and this is how I see when I see you.
