BIO
Signe Jeremiason of Swampy Sig Art is a local queer artist of many mediums: illustration, painting, collage, drawing, digital, and music. Their work often explores the intersection of the personal and political worlds. Signe is currently pursuing their masters for art teaching because they believe that creative thinkers change the world.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Art allows us to transcend the oppression of daily life and express ourselves without inhibitions. My artwork doesn’t fit neatly into one theme, but it often springs from my love and grief for the world around me: human and other-than-human.
