Charlie Putnam
BIO
Charlie Putnam is a retired art teacher that continues to create and exhibit his own work locally. He enjoys working with a variety of materials and techniques, including painting, printmaking, and ceramics. He does his paintings and prints in his home and ceramics at the local Clay Center, located in the Art Center of Saint Peter.
ARTIST STATEMENT
My artwork often reflects my experiences of teaching students in the primary grades. I found their creativity and enthusiasm for visual expression, both motivating and inspiring. I’ve had a great love for creating art all of my life and continue to enjoy making art most every day.
