BIO

I make functional pottery and sculpture and take inspiration from images found in nature and the world around me. I began my love of clay in high school and after a 'break' I started up in earnest again about 15 years ago.  I am always interested in  trying different clay bodies and techniques for surface decorations in my work.

ARTIST STATEMENT

The tactile nature of working with clay often acts as a form of meditation for me. The repetitive movements help to quiet my mind and the result is often a reflection of my emotions. As a result, my work is always changing.
