BIO

I started doing pottery in my second year at MNCS. I watched a student throwing clay, and the student was an accomplished thrower. It was really cool to see him throw the clay – to see him pull up the walls of the clay and shape it into something. It really caught my eye. I now have been doing ceramics for 10 years and pursing my BFA in ceramics at MNSU.

ARTIST STATEMENT

My passion is making pottery. I am passionate about the whole process of making pottery. Making pottery is therapeutic to me. I like throwing the pot, trimming the pot, doing firings, and selling my pottery. I want to expand my knowledge of pottery and perfect my skill in making forms. Wood-firing and soda-firing are my most favorite firing processes.
