Aaron is a mental health therapist and ceramicist living in St. Peter, MN. Half of his ceramic work is wheel-thrown, and he likes to focus on form diversity, preferring to keep each piece unique. The other half of his work involves ceramic printmaking with plants. He likes to use plants from his garden, neighborhood, and hikes in local areas.
Aaron’s ceramic printmaking invites viewers to slow down and observe the structural details of plants—their form, movement, and vascular systems. By preserving a plant’s physical relief, the work highlights the complex natural designs found in everyday environments and encourages a closer look at the ecosystems that sustain us.
