Molly Moon Art

BIO

I make functional ceramics, taking inspiration primarily from nature and the world around me. I began my love of clay in high school and it continues to this day. I'm always interested in trying different clay bodies and techniques for surface decorations. In addition, I love making chain mail jewelry; I can’t just sit and watch tv in the evening after all!

ARTIST STATEMENT

I love the tactile nature of working with clay. Playing in the mud is always fun and opening the glaze kiln is still like Christmas morning every time! Chain mail supplies are more portable, so it’s part of my ‘busy bag’ when I’m traveling or just hanging out at home. I love watching a giant pile of jump rings transform into a pair of earrings or necklace,
