Emily has a BA in German and an MFA in Creative Writing. She has been a Peace Corps volunteer, a publicist for Great American Circus, and Assistant to playwright August Wilson. She taught college level writing, cared for her elderly parents, and cleaned floors at the St. Peter Food Co-op. She has always been a creative and is a self-taught “folk artist”.
Whether figurative or abstract, I make process art using paints, inks, found papers and other media. My process is spontaneous and freeing even as it requires concentration. Each piece represents a journey through fragmentation and chaos to a sense of completion. I don’t confine myself to a genre, but I will share abstract pieces in the Art Stroll.
