BIO

Michael Callahan is a St. Peter based artist.  His current work in acrylic on board is informed in palette, placement, and proportion by a decade of painting traditional watercolor landscapes.  Michael’s acrylic work is most often painted in a single session, layered, and dragged with a variety of “blades” as the paint begins to set.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Michael paints in watercolor, ink, and acrylic. Much of Michael’s work can be found in private collections throughout the West and Midwest. Notably, in 2020 Michael created the cover art for Tim Harmston’s Comedy Album, The Whim of Tim.
