BIO

I've made sculpture since my early twenties learning the bronze casting process from Paul Granlund who was a long time sculptor-in-residence at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. I have operated my own foundry for some 40 years.

ARTIST STATEMENT

The largest content of the sculpture explored the interrelated qualities of organic forms and the human figure.
Organic themes explore fundamentals of the natural world such as origins of life, growth and decay while figurative themes go beyond to various physical representations of the human spirit such as music and dance.
