BIO

Emily has been a Peace Corps volunteer, a publicist for Great American Circus, and Assistant to playwright August Wilson. She taught college level writing, cared for her elderly parents, and cleaned floors at the St. Peter Food Co-op. She is a self-taught artist.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Emily makes abstract art on paper using paints, inks, handprinted collage papers and a variety of other media. Her process is both spontaneous and focused. Each artwork represents a journey through fragmentation and chaos to completion.
